Psychotherapy & Acute Support at the Medical Centre
Sometimes it all gets too much, and you simply need someone to listen and help clear the fog. Our psychotherapy service is a safe space where you don't have to function perfectly. You are welcome to be completely honest, even if things feel a bit messy right now.
An important note for your journey: Because we specialise in acute support and short-term interventions, we don't offer long-term therapy. Instead, we are here to help you get back on steady ground quickly. Appointments cannot be booked directly; they are arranged exclusively following an internal referral from our doctors.
How we can support you in an acute situation
Our friendly professionals are experts at listing the weight off your shoulders during challenging times:
Stress & Exhaustion: When you are constantly operating at your limit and the feeling of overload is acute.
Anxiety & Inner Restlessness: When your mind just won't switch off and you need immediate strategies to cope.
Depressive Moods: When you are feeling low on energy and trapped in persistent loops of overthinking.
Self-Esteem & Boundaries: When you often lose yourself or find yourself making your own needs too small.
Relationships & Crises: When dealing with conflict, breakups, or painful, repetitive relationship patterns.
Grief & Loss: When everything suddenly feels different and the ground has been pulled from beneath you.
Life Transitions: When you need to make a fresh start but aren't quite sure how yet.
How our short-term intervention works
Medical Consultation: First, discuss how you are feeling with our medical team. They will happily refer you for psychological support if it is right for you.
The Initial Consultation: Together we will clarify what is going on and what you hope to achieve. You only need to share as much as feels comfortable for you.
Focus & Stability: We will agree together on what we want to work on. Since this is a short-term intervention, we will focus on what brings you relief right now. We will help you build up stability step-by-step – with absolutely no pressure.
What you will take away with you
Our goal is for you to walk away from this acute phase feeling stronger and more empowered:
A calmer mind and a much better sense of your own personal needs.
Practical tools for acute situations when things feel like they are starting to overwhelm you.
Clearer boundaries and more confident communication in your daily life.
Fresh perspectives on old, distressing habits and patterns.
Clarity and confidence for the next decisions you make in your day-to-day life.
A little boost to try right now
Here are a few gentle things you can start doing for yourself today:
Journaling: Once a day, write down three simple sentences: What was difficult? What was good? What do I need right now?
Step Out of Your Mind: If you feel your thoughts going round in circles, step outside for a moment. Gentle movement is wonderful for helping your nervous system regulate.
A Quick Needs-Check: Instead of asking yourself why things are this way, ask actively: What would do me good right now?
Official Information & Resources
Here you can find all the details regarding cost reimbursements and Austrian legislation:

Your next step: If you feel like you don't want to carry this load on your own anymore, please just let us know during your next doctor's appointment at our centre. Together, we'll see if our acute support is the right next step for you!

What should you take with you?
To help us give you the best and quickest care possible, please bring the following items with you: **Your e-card**: This is the most important thing for billing purposes. **Your vaccination record**: Particularly important for check-ups or vaccination consultations. **Current medical reports & medication list**: This gives us a complete and immediate overview of your health. **Good spirits**: We will bring ours too – it’s always the best way to work together! **An important note for EU patients**: If you are not insured in Austria, please remember to bring your European Health Insurance Card (EHIC). Please check that the 16-digit code on the back is clearly legible. **A small request**: Even though we do our best to accommodate spontaneous requests, please arrive at reception 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment (or planned visit). This gives us plenty of time to get you registered, so you can start your treatment feeling completely relaxed.
