Psychotherapy & Acute Support at the Centre
Sometimes everything just becomes too much, and you need someone to listen and help you make sense of things right away. Psychotherapy with us is a safe space where you don't have to put on a brave face. You are welcome to be completely honest, even if everything feels a bit chaotic at the moment.
Important information about your journey: Because we specialise in acute help and brief interventions, we do not offer long-term therapy spanning over years. Instead, we are here to support you in finding your feet and becoming stable again quickly. Appointments cannot be booked directly, but are arranged exclusively via an internal referral from our doctors.
How we can support you in an acute situation
Our specialists are experts at helping to lift the weight off your shoulders during challenging times:
Stress & exhaustion: When you are constantly operating at your limit and the feeling of overwhelm is acute.
Anxiety & inner restlessness: When your mind simply won't switch off and you need immediate strategies to cope.
Depressive moods: When you are struggling with a lack of motivation and find yourself stuck in exhausting, worrying thought loops.
Self-esteem & boundaries: When you often lose yourself or find yourself feeling small.
Relationships & crises: When dealing with conflict, separations, or painful recurring patterns.
Grief & loss: When everything suddenly feels different and you feel as though the ground has been pulled from beneath your feet.
Life transitions: When you need to make a fresh start but are not quite sure how yet.
How our brief intervention works
3 simple steps to wonderful care:
Medical assessment: First, discuss your challenges with our medical team. They will refer you for psychological support if it is right for you.
The initial consultation: We will clarify right away what is going on and what you hope to achieve. You only share as much as feels comfortable and right for you.
Focus & stability: Together, we will decide what to focus on. Since this is a brief intervention, we concentrate on what will bring you relief right now. We will help you build stability step-by-step – without any pressure at all.
What you can take away with you
The goal of your treatment is for you to emerge from this acute situation feeling stronger and more resilient:
A calmer mind and a better sense of your own personal needs.
Practical tools for acute situations, helping you cope when things start to feel overwhelming.
Clearer boundaries and more confident, direct communication with others.
Fresh perspectives on old, distressing patterns of behaviour.
Confidence in making your next decisions in everyday life.
Small steps you can take right now
Here is what you can do for yourself starting today:
Journaling: Once a day, write down three simple sentences: What was difficult? What went well? What do I need right now?
Step away from your thoughts: If you notice your mind going round in circles, take a quick walk. Physical movement is a wonderful way to help your nervous system regulate itself.
A quick needs-check: Instead of just asking yourself why things are this way, actively ask: What would do me a world of good right this second?

Your next step: If you feel that you no longer want to carry this heavy load all by yourself, simply ask us about it at your next doctor's appointment at the Centre. Together, we will see if our acute support is the perfect next step for you.

What should you take with you?
To help us give you the best and quickest care possible, please bring the following items with you: Your e-card: The most important thing for a smooth-running visit. Your vaccination record: Especially important for check-ups or vaccination consultations. Recent medical reports & medication list: This helps us get a complete overview of your health straight away. A cheerful smile: We will bring one too, as it is the best way to work together! Important note for EU patients: If you are not insured in Austria, please bring your European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) with you. Please make sure that the 16-digit code on the back is easily readable. A small request: Even though we can sort out many things on the spot, please arrive at reception 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment (or planned visit). This gives us plenty of time to complete your registration, so you can start your treatment feeling relaxed and stress-free.
