Dr. Ibrahim Amir
True medicine is also an art!
True medicine is also an art!

Born in Syria, he is not only a seasoned traveller between cultures, but before his current role as a general practitioner, he was actually a highly-acclaimed playwright! "Habe die Ehre", Dr Amir! He was even awarded the prestigious Nestroy Prize in 2013 for this play, which premiered at Vienna's Nestroy Theatre. But let's take things one step at a time, just like a good medical history: after studying dramaturgy in Aleppo, Ibrahim was actually on his way to Dublin but ended up staying in Vienna. All for love! But don't worry, we won't get too cheesy here – after all, you are still on the Primärversorgung Josefstadt homepage and not in the theatre. He quickly realised that in Vienna, his love for drama (strictly on stage, of course!) and medicine could be wonderfully combined. What do a great writer and an even better doctor have in common? They both have excellent diagnostic insight and will always find the right diagnosis for you.

What should you take with you?
To help us give you the best and quickest care possible, please bring the following items with you: Your e-card: The most important thing for a smooth-running visit. Your vaccination record: Especially important for check-ups or vaccination consultations. Recent medical reports & medication list: This helps us get a complete overview of your health straight away. A cheerful smile: We will bring one too, as it is the best way to work together! Important note for EU patients: If you are not insured in Austria, please bring your European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) with you. Please make sure that the 16-digit code on the back is easily readable. A small request: Even though we can sort out many things on the spot, please arrive at reception 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment (or planned visit). This gives us plenty of time to complete your registration, so you can start your treatment feeling relaxed and stress-free.
